Congress delegation submits memorandum to President on Lakhimpur violence case

Congress delegation reached Rashtrapati Bhavan today to meet President Ram Nath Kovind regarding the incident of violence in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri on October 3. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi submitted a memorandum to the President with facts related to this incident. After the meeting, Rahul Gandhi told media that in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case, the father of the accused, who is the Minister of State for Home, should be removed as a fair investigation is not possible in his presence. The Congress leaders also demanded a probe by the two sitting judges of the Supreme Court.
