Indian women's badminton team qualifies for Uber Cup quarter finals

Indian shuttlers Aditi Bhatt and Tasnim Mir made it to the quarter-finals of the Uber Cup with a 4-1 win over Scotland in the singles match of the Indian badminton team on Tuesday. The Indian tem is currently second in Group B with two wins. India defeated Spain 3-2 on Sunday after top player Saina Nehwal was forced to call off the match due to a groin injury. Aditi Bhatt beat Rachel Sugden 21-14 21-8 to level the score at 1-1. The doubles pairing of Tanisha Crasto and Rutaparna Panda beat Julie Machperson and Ciara Torrance 21-11 21-8 to give India a 2-1 lead.
