Amit Khare to be the new advisor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Amit Khare, former Secretary, Ministry of Education and Information and Broadcasting has been appointed as an advisor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His appointment order was issued on Tuesday. He will continue in this post for the next two years or till further orders. On September 30, he had retired as the Higher Education Secretary. He played an important role in implementing the new education policy in the country. He has also contributed in setting the rules regarding internet media. Amit Khare was a 1985 batch Bihar-Jharkhand cadre officer in the Indian Administrative Service. In a career spanning 36 years, he held important responsibilities in the Government of Jharkhand and Bihar besides the Government of India.
