Domestic flights to operate with full capacity from October 18
In view of the reduction in coronavirus cases, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has allowed the resumption of scheduled domestic air operations from October 18 without any capacity restriction. The airlines can now book 100% of all available seats. The new order will come into effect from Monday, 18th October. However, the Airlines and airport operators have been asked by the ministry to ensure that the guidelines are strictly followed to prevent the spread of coronavirus and COVID-19 appropriate behavior is strictly enforced. The ministry said the capacity restrictions have been lifted after reviewing the demand for air travel. In September, the government had increased the capacity restriction from 72.5% to 85%.
