Delhi: BJP MP Manoj Tiwari injured while protesting ban on Chhath Puja, rushed to Safdurjung Hospital
BJP workers staged a protest outside Delhi Chief Minister's residence on Tuesday to protest against the ban on organizing Chhath Puja in public places. The police had to use water cannons to control the protesters, due to which many workers including former state president and MP Manoj Tiwari got injured. He has been taken to Safdarjung Trauma Hospital for first aid treatment. Citing COVID-19 spread threat, the Delhi government has banned the organization of Chhath Puja in public places in the capital. Therefore on Tuesday, workers led by state president Adesh Gupta and Manoj Tiwari demonstrated outside the Chief Minister's residence opposing this decision.
