IPL 2021: Mumbai Indians' journey ends with victory, Sunrisers Hyderabad loses by 42 runs
In the 55th match of the IPL 14, Mumbai Indians faced Sunrisers Hyderabad. MI skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first against SRH. On the basis of brilliant half-centuries of Ishan Kishan (84) and Suryakumar Yadav (82), the team scored 235 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the target, SRH could only manage 193 runs for 8 wickets and Mumbai Indians won the match by 42 runs. Even after winning the last league match, the team could not make it to the playoffs. Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians had 14 points each but KKR qualified on the basis of better run rate. Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore had already confirmed their place in the playoffs.
