PM Modi holds telephonic conversation with Japan's new Prime Minister Fumio Kishida

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday had a telephonic conversation with the new Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida. This is the first time the two leaders have spoken since Kishida took charge. PM Modi congratulated him on taking over as the Prime Minister of Japan and talked about enhancing the global partnership. PM Modi said he will look forward to work with him to further strengthen the special strategic and global partnership between India and Japan and to enhance cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. Earlier, Chinese President Xi Jinping had spoken to Fumio Kishida.
