Congress Working Committee meeting to be convened next week

A meeting of the Congress Working Committee will be called next week. The G-23, a faction of some senior party leaders, had demanded convening of this meeting amid developments related to infighting in the party in recent days. The CWC meeting's agenda is yet to be finalised but the election of the organization and other political developments happening in the country can be discussed. The CWC is the top decision-making body in the party. It may also discuss the roadmap for the assembly elections to be held in five states early next year, but the most important agenda can be the elections for the party president's post.
