Lakhimpur Violence: Navjot Singh Sidhu detained at UP border

Punjab Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu's protest march was stopped by the police in Sarsawa as soon as they entered the UP border to reach Lakhimpur Kheri. After which, his supporters broke the barricading by pushing the police and tried to move forward. Taking action, the police took them along with Sidhu into custody. At present, Navjot Singh Sidhu has been placed in the police station of Shahjahanpur. Meanwhile, Congress workers are continuously raising slogans against the government. Sidhu is in talks with ADG so that he can be allowed to visit Lakhimpur Kheri along with his supporters.
